The Russian Ground Forces General, Alessandro Dvornikov, alongside Director of Foreign Intelligence, Sergy Naryshin, reveals plans to invade Ukrainian territory in order to advance Russian world-presence. Their disclosed plans consisted of invading through The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR)–two Russian-supported breakaway entities in the Donbas region of Ukraine–to ensure more support in their invasion. Targeting military bases as well as agricultural hubs, Russian forces are moving fast to invade Ukraine.
When interviewing the Russian Director of Foreign Intelligence, Sergy Naryshin, he stated, “We firmly believe that the only way for Russia to succeed is to take this great step forward of invading Ukraine and establishing ourselves as a world leader”.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian citizens are left distraught by the news of Russian invasion. Government officials are scrambling to find solutions to protect their borders and create a draft for military-age men to ensure security of the country.
Through Ukrainian sources, it has also been reported that Russia has violated the Helsinki Accords that were signed back in 1975. With the breaking of this international law, it is very likely that the United Nations as well as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will get involved in the war.
